Get inspired by some of our
Camping Safari Packages.

If you are looking for something more comfortable, but still wanting to enjoy the wildlife, then we recommend the lodge safari. With this package, you will spend your day at the wild nature in a safari jeep with an experienced guide-driver and your picnic lunch. In the evening you will enjoy the comfort of a warm shower, private room or private tented bungalow and a setup dinner.

We recommend the lodge safari for our clients who need a good nights sleep after a long day spent in the safari jeep and sleeping in a tent is not their cup of tea.

Again, it depends on what you want to see – we can organise a different lodge safari for you!

Package 1: Northern Circuit – Experience it all in 6 days

This package will allow you to get the most out of the northern Tanzania parks. You will see amazing landscapes, wildlife, and experience the local culture. In this package, you will visit four spectacular National Parks, including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti. Itinerary

  1. Day 1: From Moshi or Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast in your hotel, you will drive in a 4×4 safari jeep for about 4 hrs to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara lies in the Great African Rift Valley and it is famous for monkeys jumping from tree to tree, elephants, zebras, impalas, buffalos, hippos, giraffes and others.  It is recommended to visit this park during the late afternoon hours when the animals are resting under the shadows or just going for a drink at the streams or at the lake. Before starting your afternoon game drive, you will have your picnic lunch and stretch your legs. Your guide-driver will open the top roof of your safari jeep ready for you to enjoy the animals.

Before the sunset, you will drive to a nearby campsite for shower, dinner and overnight. Depending on the time, you might also visit the nearby town of Mto Wa Mbu ‘the mosquitos river town :)’. Don’t worry, it is just a name, it doesn’t mean that there are a lot of mosquitos here :).

  1. Day 2: A day out to Lake Eyas

After breakfast at the camp, you will drive for about 2 hrs to Lake Eyas. Lake Eyas is a salt lake at the floor of Great Rift Valley. For bird lovers, this is your paradise. Here you will see flamingos, African spoonbill, gray-headed gulls, great white pelicans, stork and many other small and big birds of different colours. Along the lake shore, you will also find several animals such as hippos, leopards and monkeys.

After a packed lunch, you will visit a local Handzabe tribe bushmen, famous for their clicking noises language, similar to that of Kalahari bushmen featured in the movie ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’. You will visit the bushmen and if you are interested, you can go on a hunting trip with the bushmen. Drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

  1. Day 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park

Today is a further journey to the amazing Serengeti National Park. You will drive for 3 to 4 hours with an en route stop at the world famous archaeological site, Olduvai Gorge, where the first human fossils were found. You will have your lunch here then continue to the Serengeti plains, where you will occasionally meet a Masai walking just in the middle of nowhere :). You might see some animals also on the way. You will arrive at your camp in the early evening for shower, dinner and overnight.

  1. Day 4: Explore Serengeti’s wildness in full

This is your day to explore the endless corners of this unique world’s best-known wildlife sanctuary. Serengeti is famously known for its great wildebeest migration in October and November (flown from the northern hills to the southern plains) or during April, May and June (to the west and north). Serengeti offers a variety of wildlife from the ‘big five’ to all others.

It is impossible to visit all of the Serengeti plains in one day; therefore, your driver guide will communicate on the radio with other drivers to make sure that you see the best of the park during your time of travel. In the evening you will return to the camp for overnight.

  1. Day 5: Down to the Crater we go!

After early breakfast, you will leave the camp for a few hrs drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area and descending to the crater where you will see plenty of animals being protected by the crater rims. Ngorongoro is famous for black rhinos and black-maned lion males. You will also see families of lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and plenty of other animals. In the late afternoon, you will experience an adventurous drive up out of the crater, which only an experienced driver can do. Then you will drive back to Mto Wa Mbu to the camp for overnight.
